Michael Ray Fuljenz


Michael Fuljenz is a nationally known rare coins and precious metals expert. Over his career, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), United States Postal Service, United States Mint, Royal Canadian Mint, Numismatic Crime Information Center and the Texas Office of Consumer Credit Commissioner (OCCC) have all used his expertise. He is an award-winning numismatic author of books and newsletters, a frequent interview guest on radio and TV news and personal finance programs, a contributor to most of the major coin price guides and a community leader in his hometown of Beaumont, Texas.

From 1982-1998, he taught 5-day classes and Money Show seminars for the American Numismatic Association on a range of gold and silver coin topics, including counterfeit detection, coin grading and commemorative coinage. He is also a past recipient of the prestigious American Numismatic Association's Presidential Service Award for his long-running professional service to the numismatic industry. Additionally, he has previously served as the committee chairman of ANACS, the grading and authentication service of the American Numismatic Association. 

Since 1986, Fuljenz has won an unequaled 44 awards in 10 different categories from the Numismatic Literary Guild (NLG), a respected nonprofit organization composed of authors, editors and publishers who cover rare coins, paper money and precious metals. His awards include four (4) awards in "Investment Book of the Year" categories, six (6) for "TV Reporter of the Year," and six (6) "Best Dealer Publication" awards.

Most recently, in August 2012, Fuljenz set an unparalleled record of achievement at the "World's Fair of Money" held in Philadelphia, where he received six (6) new NLG awards, including the 2012 "Best Dealer Publication" award for his "Personal Gold Guide."

Also in 2012, The Press Club of Southeast Texas presented Fuljenz with a 1st Place Excellence in the Media award in the Brochure category for his "Personal Gold Guide," and a 1st Place Electronic Newsletter award for "The Mike Fuljenz Metals Market Report." Additionally, he served as an expert consultant to the Royal Canadian Mint on the design for the 2013 Silver Antelope $5 coin design.
